Bespoke mentoring for SENDCos, Assistant SENDCos and EAA assessors in all aspects of applying for Examination Access Arrangements, including:
- Implementing a ‘whole school approach’ to Examination Access Arrangements
- Gathering evidence of normal way of working
- When to use File Notes and Form 8s
- Completing a Form 8 or File Note
Dyslexia Matters
Dyslexia Matters has enjoyed a long standing partnership with The Sheila Ferrari Dyslexia Centre and together they have been recognised as providers of excellent training.
Liz and Julia, Directors, are co-authors of the Gateway nationally recognised qualification, accredited by the BDA and Patoss. Feedback from awarding bodies and candidate reviews reflect the quality of the training. Dyslexia Matters has successfully trained more than 500 specialist teachers, including Specialist Teachers working at the Sheila Ferrari Dyslexia Centre.

The Dyscalculia Association
The Dyscalculia Association was set up by Professor Steve Chinn and Judy Hornigold in February 2018.
The Dyscalculia Association aims to promote understanding of Dyscalculia and Maths Learning Difficulties generally.
What is Dyscalculia?
Dyscalculia is a specific learning difficulty with mathematics, primarily arithmetic. Research into dyscalculia has lagged far behind research into dyslexia, but this is beginning to even out.
Dyscalculia specialist training
Level 5 OCN Accredited Course-Specialist Teacher: Dyscalculia and Maths Learning Difficulties
In June 2020, the Dyscalculia Association gained Level 5 accreditation from OCN4Learning for their Dyscalculia course. This course comprises 3 modules. This level 5 course can be completed online within a minimum of 6 months or a maximum of 12 months.
Level 3 OCN Accredited Course-Dyscalculia and Maths Learning Difficulties Awareness
The Dyscalculia Association also offers a Level 3 course comprising of two modules and a completion time of 6 months.
Other Courses
Assessing for Dyscalculia and Maths Learning Difficulties
This one day course is aimed at current Level 7 assessors for Dyslexia as an introduction to assessing for Dyscalculia. It will look at a range of standardised and non-standardised assessments that can be used to identify dyscalculia.
