The Sheila Ferrari Dyslexia Centre Cook Book

Every year, we have a “World Book Day” competition to encourage our students to write in a fun way. This year we created our very own Dyslexia Centre Cookbook

The children spent some time in their lessons to plan, write and edit their recipes. This provided the opportunity to practice writing for a purpose, e.g. using lists for the ingredients/eqiuipment and sequencing our writing to make sense to the reader.

Congratualtions to the winners of our competition:

  • Aidan (Key stage 1)
  • Judd (Key stage 2)
  • Oliver (Key stage 3)

Thank you to all the children for your wonderful contributions – without your amazing writing this book would not exist.
